We're totally surprised by how popular this show is. But if you're a fan then you might be very excited about the new teaser that MTV just dropped for season 3. Credits for this spot can be seen after the jump.
Is there any type of film or photo stock that Getty does not have. This spot, created by AlmapBBDO, spends 85 seconds showing the diversity and amazing quality of work that Getty Images has created through a visual narrative created from decades of stock film. It's amazing to see what they have collected and gathered into their massive digital library.
20th Century Fox is the latest to undergo a branding enhancement that has led to an extremely flat logo design. The entertainment giant is also undergoing a name change as the company splits off from its publishing siblings in the wake of the phone hacking and tapping scandal that rocked Rupert Murdoch's news empire, NewsCorp.
The new branding duties were handled by the fine people at New York design giant, Pentagram. As the trend towards “flat design” continues to take hold we've seen a huge number of companies jumping to the more minimalist style for their branding. The resulting logo definitely puts a more modern face on the company, but we're going to miss the iconic music and logo that has served the entertainment giant so well over the past several decades.

Not to one up the left field action of our previous posts, but the new video for David Bowie's newest single, The Next Day, is doing a good job of that all on its own. The video definitely makes itself clear about religion as the bar featuring sinning popes and priests is transformed into a place of worship by a sackcloth, singing Bowie. What are they worshipping? We have no idea, but apparently Bowie is the prophet making things happen. The short features features a priestly Gary Oldman in addition to Academy Award winner, Marion Cotillard.
The video itself does not feature any nudity, but was pulled from YouTube for a short time and given an adult rating due to a rather controversial, bloody scene involving Cotillard's hands. The video was directed by Floria Sigismondi who also directed Bowie's other recently odd music video, The Stars Are Out (Tonight). Credits after the jump.
Wieden + Kennedy have just completed work on their newest commercials for Old Spice. With these two spots, the portland-based ad agency has managed to help take the men's fragrance company further out into left field making them even more memorable through a dissonance factor of 10. Terry Crews stars in the two humorous spots that feature the muscle-bound actor discovering his new muscle-bound son and shaving the beard off of a coma patient.
We just came across another great documentary (we can't get enough of these). Frenchie is the latest in the This Must Be The Place series that explore the ideas of home; what makes them, how they represent us and why we need them. This edition was produced and directed by Ben Wu and David Usui, of Lost & Found Films. We hopped over to check out some of the other videos and they were equally as compelling and well done.
Oreo has really upped their game over the past several months. This, though, has to be some of our favorite work we've seen from the delicious cookie maker. The new spot is the visual brainchild of The Martin Agency. We love love the animation in this piece. It's got a great feel and energy to it — not to mention it's upbeat and cute as hell.
