Freelance Project Manager/Account Manager (3-6 months)
Hello, we’re The Writer a global brand language consultancy. We’re looking for a US project manager/account manager who can take the briefs our clients give us, and organise them into our creative team’s diaries, as well as make sure the work is delivered on time and on budget.
You'll ideally be based in New York or the West Coast.
You’ll make sure our projects run like clockwork...
When our US clients send us a brief, you’ll be able to get out of them what they want and what they need. You’ll spot any holes in the brief and sort out any potential risks before they cause a problem – so when you give the job to the creative team, it’s crystal clear. You’ll decide who and what you need, and cost all the jobs accurately. And you’ll be doing all this across several jobs at the same time.
You’ll keep everyone happy...
You’ll keep our US clients happy by keeping them up to date with how projects are going, and chatting things through with them on the phone. And you’ll keep an eye on the feedback they give – if there’s anything they’re unhappy with, you’ll act on it.
You’ll keep our creative team happy by making sure you’ve got all the information they need to get going. You’ll keep them in the loop with when the deadlines are, and who they need to send their work to.
And you’ll keep the other project managers happy by planning ahead, so we don’t end up with a backlog.
You’ll get what we do and get on with it, brilliantly.
You’ll understand who The Writer are, what we do and how we do it. You’ll get our culture, and be able to shout about us to clients we already work with, and people we’d like to. You’ll be the kind of person who can get on without needing constant direction – and you’ll ask if you need help.
The kind of person you’ll be:
You’ll have plenty of experience working with big corporate clients. And you’ll understand the importance of keeping them happy.
You’ll have a mixture of project and account management experience.
You’ll have worked in an agency environment before.
