Letterpress PDX

Today the super fun site Flavorwire listed its ten favorite letterpress shops. In a town with some beautiful letterpress work going on, it's great to see three from the list are right here in Portland.

The first is BitterSugar (above), which is a project by Nik Bresnick with help from some friends. BitterSugar has some really fun work available through its Etsy store.

Up next is Egg Press, a shop that's been open since 1999. Egg Press operates on an antique press in SE Portland. Its work is available the world over and at its online store.

Third on Flavorwire's list is Old School Stationers, another Portland shop devoted to time honored production by hand rather than being slaves to the screen and mouse. Old School also has an Etsy store where you can buy its work. They're also in a number of locations around the country.
