AGIA Portland's trip to Futura starts here

Join fellow AIGA members on a trip to the theater. Portland Center Stage has graciously offered AIGA Portland a group rate (30% off) to attend the March 10th show of its play, Futura.

Futura is described as, “a font; a love story; but ultimately… one rogue professor’s quest to avenge her missing husband – and the lost art of ink on paper.” As Portland Center Stage designer (and AIGA regular) Michael Buchino explains, “Futura, the typeface, is used as a story-telling device. The play follows a woman kidnapped by the secret police. The overarching theme is censorship. Think 1984 meets Fahrenheit 451.” Learn more about the play at http://www.pcs.org/futura/.

Registration and discount through AIGA is available to AIGA members only. Tickets purchased through AIGA will be held for you at will call. There will be a group section for AIGA reserved at the theater, and plans are in the works to meet up before the show to network. In order for AIGA members to attend the Futura show at the group rate, they must register for the event through AIGA by February 28th!
