Adidas: The Legacy of Craft

Adidas just dropped this short film entitled, The Legacy of Craft, which highlights some of the processes employed when making a custom shoe design. The piece focuses on Markus Thaler, a fixture at Adidas for four decades, as he passes on some of this knowledge of shoe design to a new generation of designers.

We were blown away by the amount of cutting, sewing and craft that is done by hand when creating these limited edition kicks. When we think shoes, we think mass manufacturing, so to see so much hand-based assembly was really cool.
