BRAND / PRODUCT MANAGER (MARKETING)

Summary
The Brand Manager is directly responsible for building our portfolio of brands, providing visionary leadership, applying strategic and analytical thinking, reviewing and executing tactics that deliver upon objectives and strategies. In this role, the brand manager will have the experience, ability and mindset to embrace an entrepreneurial, start-up environment. This is an emerging category offering ample opportunity to intelligently build brands from scratch, test, refine, launch and evolve them.

Essential Functions
• Work with CMO to develop and implement consumer research, marketing strategy,
and go-to-market planning for a variety of different products and audiences.
• Lead the ideation, technical development, and launch of innovative products within the cannabis industry.
• Integrate usability studies, research, and market analysis into product requirements to enhance consumer satisfaction.
• Drive product development with a cross-functional team of world-class designers, manufacturers, and cultivators.
• Establish shared mission/vision/values across the company by building consensus and focus on priorities leading to product execution.
• Understand Natura’s strategic and competitive position in the market to deliver products that are recognized as the best in the industry.
• Define and analyze metrics that track, report, and deliver success of product launches.
• Manage agency/vendor relationships to get to best work and highest quality product.
• Foster a culture of innovation and entrepreneurialism.
• Create opportunities for employees and external partners to share and pitch ideas to the marketing and executive team.
• Identify and implement processes and metrics to measure meaningful KPIs.
• Create and file IP for new formulas and/or processes.
• Work with manufacturing, sales and distribution teams to ensure all marketing and communications needs are being met across all necessary audiences.
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
• Understand and stay informed on regulatory and compliance of all requirements of the California cannabis market to ensure adherence to lawful product and communication standards.

Education and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Graduate degree (MBA or related marketing graduate degree) preferred
• 5+ years demonstrated success in brand management mandatory
• CPG experience a must, cannabis experience is a bonus
• OTC/Pharmaceutical experience strongly desired
