Event: Portland, Draw Yourself Happy

That’s the inspiration behind a new series of ongoing creative drawing events called “Happy Place,” created and hosted by Leopold Ketel (LK), an independent boutique agency in Portland. Open to novice or experienced, budding or aspiring, illustrators, artists, creative expressionists and anyone else who loves to draw, Happy Place is collaborative drawing event series based on rotating themes. During Happy Place events, LK invites anyone who wants to participate in creative expression to create drawings and illustrations based on each event’s creative theme. LK provides the giant paper canvases, light refreshments and live music. Attendees bring their favorite drawing supplies. The inspiration behind Happy Place events: “We thought it would be a great way for people to get together, have a good time and enjoy drawing. It’s about creating in a fun, community atmosphere,” said LK Creative Director Jerry Ketel. The next LK Happy Place event is March 9, from 7-9 p.m. Drawing theme is: Flora & Fauna AF.
