Perhaps his most important contribution to the field, however, would probably be Mario and the Mario Bros. franchise. Thanks to this simple, fun invention billions of people have lost countless hours exploring wonderful worlds filled with ghosts, Koopas, and deadly shell slinging turtles. Vox did a great short exploring Myamoto’s contributions and peeling back the curtain on the video game magnate.
